  • Who can attend Camp Westminster?
    Anyone can attend, within the age requirements of a particular session. We are a non-denominational Christian Camp that welcomes all believers and non-believers.
  • How do I register for Summer Camp?
    If you know what session you would like to attend you can go straight to our Registration Page If you want to see what sessions we offer you can go to our Camp Session page. If you need additional help you can watch our HOW TO REGISTER FOR CAMP video.
  • What is the camper to counselor ratio?
    At least one counselor for every 4 campers. On average we have one counselor to every 3 campers.
  • Will my child be able to be with their friends?
    Yes, but make sure you indicate this on the registration form. Cabins are assigned several days prior to each session, so waiting until you get to camp to ask for a particular cabin buddy will be too late.
  • What activities are available at Camp Westminster?
    Summer camp activities for all ages include: sports (soccer, volleyball, basketball, and other team/field games), horseback riding in rings, swimming, canoeing, fishing, arts & crafts, archery, cooking, climbing tower and zipline, low ropes course, arrow tag, disc golf and much more. Additionally, campers 10 years old and over may choose horseback trail rides, high ropes challenge course, paintball, and wakeboarding. Each day is divided into five 1-hour activity periods in all sessions except Trail Blazer, which may include a two-hour activity session of horseback riding or ropes course in the morning if your child registers for this beforehand. Otherwise they will follow the traditional 5 period schedule.
  • Besides activities, what else do campers do?"
    Aside from 5 activity periods, each day campers will enjoy 3 meals Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner. Along with 2 snack periods we call Canteen. Campers will have a daily Bible study with their cabin and a evening gathering which includes skits, songs, a brief message and more. The day will end with the campers in their cabin where they will have a short devotion. You can view our daily schedule here.
  • How many campers come to a session?
    When full, we have 180 overnight campers per session. We have up to 30 day campers per session.
  • How many campers are there in each cabin?
    There are up to, but not more than 10 campers, and two or three counselors in each cabin.
  • What if we have a group that wants to come to camp?
    We do have groups that come to camp during the summer. We offer discount rates and a variety of plans to fit the size of your group. Please contact the camp office at (770) 483-2225 or at for details.
  • What should a camper bring?
    You can find this list in our Parent Information or in our What to Bring List.
  • Can I send my child a letter while they are at camp?
    Yes! We allow parents to send campers letters or care packages that do not contain food items. Parents may use the Bunk1 system to send letters to their camper, called "Bunk Notes", or send a physical letter to our address. To access Bunk1 you must create an account.   • How do I apply for SaLT (Service And Leadership Training)?
    To apply for our SaLT program you first need to register for a SaLT Session. You can go to our Camp Sessions page and see what Session you would like or you can go straight to the Registration Page. After you register for a SaLT session you can watch our HOW TO APPLY FOR SaLT video for next steps and more information.
  • What are the drop-off/pick-up times for the sessions?
    For most of our overnight sessions, drop-off is Sunday 3 pm-5 pm, and pick-up is the following Saturday at 9 am. The exceptions to this are: First Timers 1 & 3 - Drop-off Sunday 3 pm-5 pm, pick-up the following Wednesday 9:15 am. First Timers 2 & 4 - Drop-off Wednesday 3 pm, pick-up the following Saturday 9 am. Day Trek sessions run from 8:30 am-5 pmMonday-Friday.
  • Is it possible to pick up a camper early (e.g. Friday morning/afternoon)?
    Yes. Let us know when you register your camper so that we can make a note of it. Then please remind us when you check-in your camper on Sunday and we will coordinate with his/her counselor to make sure they are packed and ready when you need to pick them up.
  • What measures do you take to ensure camper safety?
    Camper safety is of utmost importance to us. Please see our list of Camp Safety Guidelines.
  • Do you have a nurse on site?
    We always have a nurse on the premises during the summer. In case of emergencies, Piedmont Rockdale Hospital is less than 5 miles away.
  • What if my child gets sick and needs a doctor?
    Our insurance does not permit us to transport your child to the doctor. You, or someone you know will need to pick them up and take them to your physician. If the doctor says it is okay for your child to return to camp, we would love to have them back.
  • How Do I Apply For A Scholarship?
    Before applying for a scholarship you must register for a Camp Session. If you already know the session you want to register for you can Register here. After you have completed the registration for your session you can watch our HOW TO APPLY FOR A SCHOLARSHIP video for next steps and more information. Please note scholarship applications must be completed by April 1st.
  • Whom should I contact to have a tour of Camp Westminster?

  • What is the fee structure?
    There is a $75 registration fee that must be paid for each child. The remaining tuition should be paid at least two weeks prior to the start of your session. Please do not send money to camp with your child. Campers go to canteen twice a day and the cost is included in tuition. Camp Store will be open during drop-off and pickup to buy camp apparel, souvenirs, and convenience items you may have forgotten.
  • What if we are sending more than one child?
    There are discounts available for multiple children. Review the Dates and Rates page for more information.
  • What is the refund policy?
    The $75 registration fee is non-refundable. Remaining tuition paid is fully refundable until two weeks prior to your registered session.
  • Will you be able to move the deposit I had for one camper towards another camper I am sending?
    Yes, if one of the campers in the same household can no longer attend camp, we can allocate the deposit paid for them to other campers in the same household.
  • Are there group discounts?
    Yes, we offer a group discount for groups of 10+ campers. Each camper will receive $20 off of their registration. Please contact our office for more information.
  • Does Camp Westminster have scholarship assistance?
    We do offer financial assistance through our our scholarship program. Camp Scholarship applications must be completed by April 1 and are not considered complete until you have registered for a camp session and paid the $75 deposit.   • Whom should I contact to have a tour of Camp Westminster?

  • How do I reserve a date for my retreat?
    Please fill out our Book a Retreat Form Have the following information ready: -Your organization’s name and your contact information -The prospective dates of your retreat -The estimated number of participants (including chaperones for younger groups) -Your preferred lodging area (check out our Facilities) -Which meals (if any) you would like provided -Which activities (if any) you would like provided Please note that in order to finalize any reservation, a 40% deposit and a signed contract/rental agreement will need to be submitted within 2 weeks of receiving a contract from our team.
  • What will our group need to bring on our retreat?
    You can find our What to Bring List that you can send to those attending your event Note: If your group is spending the night, participants will need to provide their own linens, pillows, towels and toiletries. If your group is participating in activities, participants will need to bring appropriate clothing (Jeans for horses & paintball, swimsuit for water activities, etc.). Camp Westminster will provide all safety gear and special equipment. If your group plans to prepare your own food, prepare to bring essential cooking utensils and dishes. Our guest kitchens have basic utensils and pots/pans, but to be sure you have everything you need, please prepare to bring it with you.
  • When are your facilities available to rent?
    Our facilities are open for rentals starting end of July through End of May. If you are interested booking a retreat or would like to see about a June or July rental please fill out our Book a Retreat form.
  • Are there meeting spaces available for my group?
    We offer one complimentary meeting space for each lodging rental that is large enough to accommodate the size of your group. Check out the meeting spaces we offer. Extra meeting spaces may be available for an additional charge, but the availability of extra meeting spaces will be determined by the needs of other groups on the property.
  • What does it cost to rent your facilities?

  • Is there a sample menu we can choose meals from?
    Currently we do not allow rental groups to dictate the menu for their retreat, however, we do have a sample menu on our dining hall page for you that will give an idea of what to expect at each meal.
  • Does Camp Westminster’s food service accommodate special diets and allergies?
    Yes! In most cases and with proper notice, we will accommodate special diets and allergies.
